Job responsibilities

  • Identify user and system requirements for new web pages, applications, or mobile apps
  • Prioritize software development projects, set timelines, and assign tasks to team members
  • Create wireframes to decide on layout
  • Write clean, scalable, testable, maintainable code and also peer review codes written by other developers
  • Run functionality testing and debug code to optimize the performance of the software

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience in application development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Prior experience in web/mobile development, including asynchronous programming, patterns, threading, performance tuning, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Prior experience working with security best practices
  • Proficient with multiple programming languages, including JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Kotlin, Swift, and MVVM architecture
  • Knowledge of distributed source control systems like Git
  • Understanding of performance/analytics tools for mobile applications
  • Proficient with mockup and UI prototyping tools
