Job responsibilities
- Work with various database software
- Design, develop, Install and manage database applications
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and ensure the databases are up to date
- Prepare reports, documentation, and operating manuals
- Test and modify databases to ensure smooth operation
- Collaborate with different teams to make sure the database is user-friendly
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in database administration, or database architecture(rare exception for highly skilled developers)
- Proficiency in data modeling and data designing techniques
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, MS SQL, and other database technologies.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery
- Fluent in both spoken and written English communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with principles of database design
- Knowledge of database schema creation and management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
