Job description

A fast-growing company focusing on empowering businesses and their teams with flexibility and choice is looking for an Engineering Lead. The selected candidate will be working closely with the CTO, data engineer, junior engineer, and external developer partners to support, build and deliver new delightful features to customers. Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver scalable products from the roadmap while also turning external feedback into new features and improved user experience
  • Support the data strategy through new APIs and other integrations with 3rd party platforms
  • Create and manage technical documentation and standardize the testing approaches to ensure the platform deploys high-quality releases
  • Discuss technology options with the leadership team to support future scaling, product optimization, and feature enhancements
  • Provide oversight, review, guidance, and direction for junior engineers
  • Communicate extensively with vendors and/or customers as needed
  • Follow best practices using an agile methodology

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and Node.js
  • 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and React
  • Nice to have at least 4+ years of experience with Git and Google Cloud Platform
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • A great eye for good design and UI
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity while improving and building on an already established codebase
  • Extensive experience with API development
  • Prior experience with HR technology and/or highly confidential data is nice to have
  • Nice to have prior development experience building reporting and analytics dashboards
