Job description

A next-generation rental platform offering rewards for good behavior and boosting the rental experience is looking for a Lead Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the product, architecture, and resourcing decisions while leading and developing a high-performing and diverse team of engineers. Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high performing and diverse team of talented engineers
  • Contribute to the establishment and sustenance of high standards for code quality, testing, and platform stability, focusing on quality and speed of delivery 
  • Lead and efficiently design a forward-thinking scalable system architecture 
  • Work closely with engineering, product, design, and business counterparts to design and build innovative, user-friendly web and mobile applications
  • Actively implement continuous improvement of the engineering team as a whole through thoughtful code review and design documentation feedback
  • Design and develop career planning and personal goal setting
  • Consistently innovate on internal processes to help the team achieve more with less and maintain a high delivery speed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must be proficient in Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS
  • Nice to have some experience with Next.js
  • Background in consumer apps such as social, fintech, or marketplaces
  • Strong desire to build a comprehensive, diverse, and high-performing team
  • Possess a customer-centric mindset and have strong empathy for users
  • Ability to build and launch products from the ground up
