Job description

A U.S.-based travel search platform that is helping travelers across North America and Europe find the best deals on bus and train tickets, is looking for a Full-Stack Front-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer would be responsible for developing interactive customer-facing applications and connecting them to comprehensive server-side solutions. The platform allows its users to compare bus and train schedules as well as prices from hundreds of travel companies in one convenient place to find the best option. The company has managed to raise over $8 million in its series A round of funding.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage high-quality applications with captivating user interactions 
  • Build responsive and comprehensive databases
  • Establish and enforce product development standards and best practices to streamline engineering efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and work efficiently to achieve company goals
  • Use a test-oriented approach to upgrade, debug and troubleshoot applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Full-Stack or Front-end Engineer
  • Comprehensive understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Proficiency and at least 3+ years of experience with the React front-end framework
  • 3+ Years of experience with Node.js and one or more application states management libraries
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and supporting web service backends
  • Comprehensions of CSS preprocessors
  • Familiar with unit and integration testing tools
  • Understanding of design wireframes/storyboards and the ability to build pixel-perfect implementations
  • Nice to have experience with Python, Docker, GraphQL, and CI/CD/pipeline tools such as Jenkins or Rundeck
  • Excellent English communication skills
