Job description

A leading fintech company that strengthens construction businesses to reach their full potential is looking for a Full-Stack, Back-End-heavy Developer. The selected candidate will be working with a team of highly skilled and talented professionals. As a developer, you’ll be responsible for building end-to-end architectures and applications. The company is actively building an easy, intuitive, and innovative payment and financing platform that changes how contractors and materials suppliers work together. It has managed to raise a funding of more than $4 mn so far. This is a full-time and long-term opportunity for those who want to work with a fast-scaling startup.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design architecture to support the needs of the company
  • Create stunning software components using modern techniques
  • Develop front-end and back-end applications
  • Architect software for cross-platform optimization
  • Draft highly scalable, robust, and maintainable micro-services
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle as part of a cross-functional agile team
  • Work closely with core software teams and ensure the implementation of comprehensive test plans 
  • Mentor and guide the team on engineering best practices 
  • Work with APIs and integrate banking and other critical components
  • Respond promptly to situations and work with a high commitment to achieve company goals

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10+ years of production engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Node.js library
  • 4+ years of experience with React.js
  • In-depth understanding of serverless development (Lambdas)
  • Experience in working with MongoDB
  • Extensive experience in building scalable APIs
  • Experience with server-side concepts, e.g., Microservices, database, caching, performance, and monitoring
  • Good knowledge in scaling applications and ensuring maintainability AWS Solution architect certification
  • Significant experience working at a successful Fintech company would be a plus
  • Basic knowledge of creating data pipelines, ingestions, and analytics
  • AWS Solution architect certification is preferred but not required
