Job description

A U.S.-based renewables and environment company that is determined to create a lasting impact in the sustainable energy industry, is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will be in charge of designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and other enterprise software systems. The company is on a mission to offer proven, performance-based, sustainable, and environment-friendly solutions to their utility, government, and institutional customers. This will be a long-term position. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications and other enterprise software systems
  • Review functional requirements and draft implementation plans
  • Contribute new unit tests and fix tests that fail continuous integration checks
  • Work with internal clients to debug, document, and fix support problems for production systems
  • Perform code reviews on colleagues' contributions to the codebase
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as standup meetings and pointing discussions
  • Lead technical discussions with internal clients, project managers, and other software engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience in Python and JavaScript
  • Prolific experience in SQL
  • Nice to have experience in React and Oracle
  • Experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL is preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in Django
  • Prior experience with relational databases including MySQL, SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar 
  • Prior Energy-related professional experience is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
