Job description

A U.S.-based renewables and environment company that is determined to create a lasting impact in the sustainable energy industry, is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will be in charge of designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and other enterprise software systems. The company is on a mission to offer proven, performance-based, sustainable, and environment-friendly solutions to their utility, government, and institutional customers. This will be a long-term position.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications and other enterprise software systems
Review functional requirements and draft implementation plans
Contribute new unit tests and fix tests that fail continuous integration checks
Work with internal clients to debug, document, and fix support problems for production systems
Perform code reviews on colleagues' contributions to the codebase
Participate in agile ceremonies such as standup meetings and pointing discussions
Lead technical discussions with internal clients, project managers, and other software engineers

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
Extensive experience in Python and JavaScript
Prolific experience in SQL
Nice to have experience in React and Oracle
Experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL is preferred
Demonstrable experience in Django
Prior experience with relational databases including MySQL, SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar
Prior Energy-related professional experience is a plus
Fluent in verbal and written English
