Job description

A fast-paced company with a goal to assist student-facing staff in increasing their influence to serve more adult learners and provide excellent performance is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for efficiently working with technical professionals and product teams to satisfy product needs and provide creative solutions. The company’s software technology is helping online schools to save money by functioning at a larger scale without being overwhelmed with admin work. The company has managed to raise close to $2 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team to write automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, and build continuous delivery pipelines
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and build innovative solutions
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
