How to become a Scala/Java developer?

Scala is a functional, object-oriented programming language with a compact and succinct programming style. Scala is a programming language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and is well-suited for developing complex applications. Scala has fewer lines of code than Java, is more type-safe, supports functional programming (FP), and outperforms Java in object-oriented programming (OOP). The responsibility of a Scala developer is to design, create, and maintain Scala-based applications. They also take part in any architectural development efforts associated with the application.

Java follows the notion of 'write once, run anywhere.' Java code that has been compiled may be utilized and executed on any platform that supports Java. Furthermore, it is simple to use, free, and compatible with a wide range of operating systems. It is essential for businesses. Skills required to become Scala/Java developer

The first stage is to master the fundamental skills that will enable you to get a high-paying Scala/Java developer job. Let's go through what you need to be aware of.

1. Java & Python

Python is an interpreted and dynamically typed language, whereas Java is statically typed and compiled. Because of this one distinction, Java is quicker at runtime and easier to debug, yet Python is simpler to use and read. Python's success is largely due to its communicability; people just comprehend it better. It has a variety of Python libraries, so a beginner developer will not have to start from scratch. Since Java is ancient and still frequently used, it has a large number of libraries and a robust community. In a Scala/Java developer job, you should be well-versed in these languages.

2. Spark, Hadoop & MapReduce

To be good Scala/Java developer job, you must be conversant with Spark, Hadoop, and MapReduce. For years, Hadoop was the undisputed champion of big data, until Spark arrived. Since its original release in 2014, Apache Spark has been sparking the world of big data. According to some commentators, Spark has marked the start of a new era in big data because of its user-friendly APIs and expected speeds up to 100 times faster than Hadoop MapReduce.

3. Redux

Redux is a well-known React state management library. It is, nevertheless, difficult to understand and grasp. You may, however, simplify things by learning about the Context API. Once you've mastered this, you may go on to Redux. Redux is required for the React application's e-commerce capabilities. As a result, knowing Redux is essential for Scala/Java development positions.

4. Spring framework 5

In 2020, more than 2000 websites used the Spring framework to build Java apps. Explanatory comments are used by Spring to reduce tight coupling when classes rely on other classes and interfaces from this framework. Spring is built on the MVC framework, which includes business, operations, business, and representation layers. The Spring framework is popular among developers because it is simple, has appealing syntax, enables object injection, and contains automated testing tools such as JUnit 5.

5. ETL architecture

ETL is frequently used in the data integration process (extract, transform, and load). It's the backbone of today's business intelligence and analytics workloads, effectively transporting and altering data between source and target. Understanding how ETL works is one thing; creating an efficient ETL architecture for your organization is quite another. ETL architecture, like real-world construction projects, necessitates a strategy and a solid foundation to guarantee that your workflow satisfies your present needs while also scaling with you as you grow.
