Job description

An NYC-based company developing an investment advisory platform to deliver top-tier investment and financial advice is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end services, APIs, and infrastructure to support new and existing product initiatives. The company aims at transforming the traditional wealth management industry and delivering better technology solutions to both advisors and clients. The selected candidate will join the team and work as a highly motivated individual to build scalable products. This role will be a long-term opportunity requiring an overlap with EST.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable back-end infrastructure
  • Work well in team dynamics as a high performing individual
  • Ensure testing coverage, sufficient documentation, timely delivery, and proper maintenance of the platform
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-8+ years of relevant back-end development experience 
  • 5+ years of experience coding in Scala
  • 5+ years of experience in developing APIs
  • Familiarity with Haskell and functional programming
  • Experience working with version control tools such as Git (Gitlab)
  • Ability to write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintained code
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Have a reliable personality, attention to detail, and a great team player
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment as part of an exciting startup with a diverse team
