Job description

An innovative fintech company that brings unique technology and tools to unlock data and insights for publicly-traded companies is looking for a Web Back-End Developer. The developer will help translate business and use cases into detailed requirements for API endpoints in a cloud environment. The company has built a premier investor intelligence and communications platform to help companies monitor their investors’ behaviors and trends. The selected candidate will play an active role in defining business and web app-specific requirements and establishing tasks for the team to resolve. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of translating business requirements and use-cases as per requirements for API endpoints in a cloud environment
  • Develop product strategy documentation describing business cases, high-level use cases, and technical requirements
  • Work alongside engineering and production teams on the development, QA, product release, and balance of resources for ensuring high-quality solutions
  • Implement API enhancements based on project requirements
  • Take charge of maintaining API server and associated libraries 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Must possess a deep understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
  • Familiarity with planning and delivering software platforms for use with multiple products and organizational units
  • Thorough experience of working with web applications and programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Well-versed with web services like REST, GraphQL, etc.
  • Deep understanding of security, authentication, and authorization principles and their uses in permission-based SaaS applications
  • Familiarity in building products for FinTech solutions
