Job description

A budding game development company building the next generation of games around web3 technologies is looking for a Lead Web Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for leading the development of the game, corporate, and marketing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The company is shaping the future of competitive gaming with a commitment to forming deeper connections by including players in game development, asset ownership, and opportunities. This will be a great chance for the engineer to work with the UI design and product teams to build interactive customer-facing web pages and applications.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and oversee the implementation of the web framework to the applications
  • Lead and grow the web team as a tactical driver of success
  • Build user-friendly, high-performance web applications
  • Play an active role in the product development process, and help set the technical direction

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a web engineer
  • Strong knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
  • Expertise with frameworks like Angular, React, Ember, and Vue
  • Deep understanding of the HTTP request pipeline
  • Sound skills in CORS, browser cookies, and preventing XSS attacks
  • Familiar with CDNs and content management systems
  • Familiarity with tradeoffs between SSR and SPA
  • Experience building reactive pages for desktop and mobile using Flexbox
  • Prior experience working with ASP.NET is a bonus
