Job description

A US-based port community platform operating in some of the largest port communities in America is looking for a Full-Stack .NET Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for testing and deploying applications along with systems and creating database schemas that help in the execution of business processes. The well-established company has steadily evolved from a custom software development firm into a multinational solutions company trusted by over 80 global port authorities and container terminals. The selected candidate will work actively as an independent contributor with an intense zeal to learn new tools and technologies.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take part in the requirements analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create software architecture and design
  • Using .NET programming languages, create clean, scalable code
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Create database schemas that represent and aid in the execution of business processes
  • Code should be revised, updated, refactored, and debugged
  • Take the initiative to become more productive and efficient
  • Maintain clean code by adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Create technical documentation and offer technical support

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience developing web-based software development using the .NET stack
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL server and writing queries is required
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET, .Net Core, SQL Server, and design patterns is a must
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET web API or experience working with RESTful API is required
  • Exposure to C# is a must
  • Angular, jQuery, and bootstrap experience are a must
  • Prior experience working with large-scale databases and applications is needed
  • Working on projects using Agile is a must
  • A proficient understanding of code versioning tools like VSTS is nice to have
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud or other cloud platforms is nice to have
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Azure CosmosDB, MongoDB, or Elastic is desirable
  • Exposure to Microservices architecture is a plus
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as a familiarity with various databases is nice to have
  • Competency in design implementation and management is a plus
  • Be a team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to complete all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, functionality, testing, and support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prolific problem-solving skills to solve technical challenges and keen attention to details
