Job responsibilities

Participate in regular maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
Make sure to adhere to project plans and industry standards to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade systems
Contribute to automating multiple processes, building software infrastructure, assisting in capacity planning and architecture
Collaborate with data scientists, project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to build the required software solutions
Test software development methodology in an agile development environment and share feedback for improvement

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3+ years of software development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Hands-on experience supporting production quality software from end-to-end
Proficient with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
Hands-on experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Excellent skills in building highly available, scalable & secure systems
Good understanding of complete software development life cycle
Solid knowledge of web technologies & their nuances, like HTML, CSS, UI/UX, React, Angular, etc.
Knowledge of coding languages, such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and code versioning tools (Git)
Communicate fluently in English
The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Ability to deliver projects on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
Working experience of building large scale, customer-centric software applications
Strong understanding of large codebases, like API techniques & handling large volumes of data
