Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand user requirements to design, develop and maintain software solutions
  • Update the solution and integrate it with the existing one basis new requirements
  • Solve integration and compatibility issues in software solutions
  • Assist continually in improving quality and performance
  • Prepare technical documentation for necessary stakeholders
  • Perform regular testing to ensure adherence to performance and standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various teams to gather requirements, design solutions and resolve issues

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Strong competency in technologies such as React, Node, Python, JavaScript, React Native, PHP, Vue, Java, Golang, Ruby on Rails, Angular, and Django, among others
  • Knowledge of web/mobile application development and Unix/Linux environments
  • Familiarity with the whole web stack, including front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks, and libraries
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and its core principles
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of data structures and RDBMS systems
  • Understanding of local storage, caching, effective memory usage, code optimization, scaling, throughput, etc
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, CVS and Monotone
  • Understanding of best practices such as Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to multi-task and work on tight deadlines
