Job description

Job responsibilities

Analyze user and system requirements to design, develop, and maintain user-friendly web applications
Work closely with stakeholders and project managers to define project specifications
Establish targets and timelines, and delegate tasks to ensure timely deliverables
Brainstorm with the design team to finalize website layouts and ensure a high-quality user experience
Design and develop fully functional websites and web applications
Review, refactor codes, and run functionality tests to ensure seamless performance
Monitor and analyze existing solutions and provide continuous support
Conduct regular security checks to avoid any data breaches

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of web development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Experience working with web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, etc.
Proficiency in asynchronous programming, patterns, threading, performance tuning, etc.
Excellent understanding of industry-standard networking and security protocols, guidelines, etc.
Prolific grasp of libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, React, Node.js, AngularJS, etc.
Hands-on expertise with databases, third-party libraries, and APIs
Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git, SVN, Mercurial, etc.
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Familiar with SEO practices and multiple CMS like WordPress, Drupal, etc.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira
Well-versed with the latest web development workflows and operations
Understanding of Agile web development methodologies
Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills
