Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in design, development, documentation, review, testing, analysis, and code release following the software engineering best practices
  • Assist in producing high-quality code using advanced abstractions and frameworks
  • Collaborate with product managers, cross-functional development teams, system analysts, and marketing managers to develop required software solutions
  • Apply the best software development practices to ensure robustness, and performance of the software applications
  • Work closely with software developers, product owners, and QA analysts to identify and resolve software issues
  • Analyze application logs and identify the root cause for reported issues
  • Identify and automate test cases to enhance automation coverage
  • Contribute to executing both automation and manual test cases and assist in maintaining test outcome records

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience (we make rare exceptions if you are highly skilled)
  • Expertise in modern UI frameworks, such as Angular, React, or Vue
  • Exceptional computational skills and understanding of designing, coding, debugging, and testing procedures
  • Proficient with computer science fundamentals
  • Wide experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
  • Ability to use tools like IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools, etc. to help in daily tasks
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Understanding of web stacks, including front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks, libraries, etc.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and STLC
  • Ability to document and maintain software functionality
  • Prior experience of Agile development methodologies
  • Good organizational and communication skills
