Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Write and maintain high-quality reusable, scalable, efficient code
  • Contribute to the development of mobile applications
  • Define application objectives, features, and functionality

  • Design, develop and test software applications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver quality products
  • Guide internal teams in troubleshooting any production issues
  • Support end-to-end systems integration and functional validation

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience as a Java/Kotlin developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Good understanding of JVM, and Java EE platforms

  • Proficiency in Java data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Knowledge of VIPER, MVC, MVP, MVVM, ReactiveX, and Dependency Injection
  • Proficiency in mobile app designing, development, and deployment
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Ant, and Gradle
  • Strong knowledge of source control systems (Git, Merging, Branching, Pull Requests)
