Job responsibilities
- Identify bugs in the existing codebase and implement solutions to improve the code quality
- Automate tools to monitor system health, efficiency and reliability
- Automate infrastructure in AWS with Terraform and Ansible
- Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to arrange provisioning and deployment of both large and small scale systems
- Install and configure Windows servers and Linux servers
- Create documentation utilizing enterprise standardized templates
- Support operational teams and other stakeholders to maintain business production and customer satisfaction
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- AWS DevOps engineer with 3+ years of experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Expertise in AWS services, like EC2, S3, VPC, Route53, ECS, API Gateway, Fargate
- Good knowledge in source code repositories, like Bitbucket
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools, like Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Expertise in installing software in Linux environments
- Experience in optimizing, designing, building, and troubleshooting public cloud platforms associated with complex, large application stacks
Preferred skills
- Effective written and oral communication
- Familiarity with Redshift, AppDynamics, and Splunk
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects following resource requirements and timelines
