Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in complex SQL script development and validation
  • Oversee all QA metrics, including defects, defect counts, test results, and test status
  • Assist in the design and coding data warehousing systems to coveted company specifications
  • Participate in complex SQL script development and validation

  • Conduct preliminary testing of the warehousing environment before data extraction
  • Work collaboratively with both business and development teams to track and close errors
  • Supervise database set-up for QA environment and collaborate with DBAs to implement privileges

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in ETL system development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experience working with ETL tools like Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, etc.

  • Proficient with BI report testing using Business Objects, Cognos, Power BI
  • Fluency in English for effortless collaboration
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

  • Profound experience in developing test plans and test strategy documents
  • Good understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Big Data system test with Hive or HBase
