Job responsibilities
- Discuss with project owners to translate business needs to technical specifications
- Participate in design, development, and deployment of BI solutions
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms like MicroStrategy
- Collaborate with BI development team to create tools for effective data storage
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to optimize performance
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Build and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Develop, update and maintain technical documentation for future references
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence or IT management (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Profound knowledge of the analytical, report, and dashboard creation using Power BI
- Proficiency in one or more of the languages including SQL, SAS, R, Python
- Extensive working experience with BI technologies including Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI
- Good understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Strong grip over data analytics, data warehouse design, and data mining
- Solid understanding of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

- Knowledge of Dashboards, TypeScript development tools, D3 JavaScript libraries, SVG
- Understanding of different data technologies like Oracle, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, etc.
- Microsoft certifications in SSIS or other ETL tools
