Job responsibilities
- Improve the code quality by conducting trials on software applications
- Design, build and maintain the Oracle applications as per the project requirements
- Perform system analysis and review application performance
- Troubleshoot, debug and test various applications
- Research and identify new approaches to prepare workflow charts
- Enhance applications' performance, speed, and scalability
- Write and maintain Oracle reports, UNIX shell scripts, and database procedures
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working as an Oracle developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Proficient with Oracle database management systems
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, PL/SQL, etc.
- Experience working on databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Working knowledge of .NET, SDLC, and shell scripting
- Prolific experience with data modeling and data warehousing
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Strong analytics and time management skills
- Developers with Oracle certification would be preferred
- Able to communicate technical issues among cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders
- A team player with strong attention to detail
