Senior Android Engineer

A US-based recreation platform that serves 450+ million people and brings communities together through their common interests is looking for a Senior Android Engineer. The engineer will move incredibly fast while delivering a quality product and working closely with the team that is exploring a different vision of how the Internet can work. The online platform enables users to introduce links, share content, and discuss topics of shared interest. It has raised $1bn+ in funding during its Series F round. This is an excellent opportunity for self-directed and innovative developers to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires at least 3 hours overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Improve the performance and stability of the most critical features
• Work with product owners to identify gaps in platform functionality
• Partake in the entire Android development cycle for the design down to deployment
• Be a strong individual contributor and lead the engineering and product discussions
• Contribute to the product and business strategy in addition to building the technology
• Take responsibility for the highest impact project in a team of brilliant engineers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant professional Android experience
• Expertise in Java or Kotlin
• Passion for developing scalable, well-designed software
• Experience building at least one amazing Android app with a team from start to shipment 
• Excellent problem solver, good communicator, independent, with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset
