Job description

A US-based recreation platform that serves 450+ million people and brings communities together through their common interests is looking for a Senior Android Engineer. The engineer will move incredibly fast while delivering a quality product and working closely with the team that is exploring a different vision of how the Internet can work. The online platform enables users to introduce links, share content, and discuss topics of shared interest. It has raised $1bn+ in funding during its Series F round. This is an excellent opportunity for self-directed and innovative developers to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires at least 3 hours overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Improve the performance and stability of the most critical features
Work with product owners to identify gaps in platform functionality
Partake in the entire Android development cycle for the design down to deployment
Be a strong individual contributor and lead the engineering and product discussions
Contribute to the product and business strategy in addition to building the technology
Take responsibility for the highest impact project in a team of brilliant engineers

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant professional Android experience
Expertise in Java or Kotlin
Passion for developing scalable, well-designed software
Experience building at least one amazing Android app with a team from start to shipment
Excellent problem solver, good communicator, independent, with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset
