Job description

A fast-growing company developing an innovative never-before-seen surfboard shaping software is looking for a Java Developer. The developer will be in charge of implementing back-end architecture and features while smoothening the entire process. Businesses can streamline the functioning and production of surfboards by leveraging the company's interactive tools and software, which enable the design to be experienced in real-time. This position requires a significant overlap with the AEST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create code that complies with industry best practices
  • Actively be a part of sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint retrospectives
  • Direct the creation and testing of data-driven services and user interfaces
  • Collaborate on software designs that meet technical and business requirements 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Java
  • Ability to give suggestions about Java and what kind of Java framework the company should be using
  • Nice to have experience with Gradle
  • Capable of implementing DevOps best practices 
  • Ability to build relatively clean UI/UX with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and mathematics is desired
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
