Job description

A rapidly-growing company utilizing AI to close the productivity gap in pathology is looking for a Java Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with product monitoring and debugging to ensure the highest company standards. The company has been augmented with substantial investment funding from venture capitalists and private entities to foster commercialization and growth. It has successfully raised more than $20 mn in funding so far.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test changes to the architecture, product features, and upgrades
Build, deploy, and execute services and applications in the cloud using containerization and cloud technology (compute, network, and storage)
Support product monitoring and troubleshooting to achieve high-quality standards
Adopt and improve best practices and standards for development teams
Work with other teams to improve current products, services, and tools
Organize communication between onshore and offshore personnel
Complete all mandatory company-wide compliance training as well as job-specific training, such as QMS, ISMS, GxP, DocuSign, and SDLC, as applicable

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
Extensive experience in Java, including certifications
2+ years of experience with Spring framework
Experience with web services, microservices, and RESTful APIs
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud solutions
Prolific skills in CI/CD solutions, testing frameworks, and build tools
Experience in agile development like Kanban and SCRUM
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data is nice to have
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Containerization is a plus
Experience with AWS Cloud, MongoDB Atlas, and Terraform is desired
Experience with DirectX Graphics and Scanner WSI Formats is a plus
Experience with Imaging Solutions and LIMS is nice to have
Experience with Enterprise Architecture like SSO, MFA, CDN, Caching, and High-Availability is a plus
Experience with other programming languages like C/C++ or Python is a plus
Previous experience working in a regulated environment
Design thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential
Strong communication skills
Ability to operate independently or as part of a high-performing team
Ability to bridge the gap between technical and user domain audiences
Sound innovative and creative thought process
Ability to show great enthusiasm and teamwork capabilities
Proficiency in English
