Job description

A leading Fintech company offering solutions for businesses, finance, and the government is looking for a Java Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and developing the application's next-generation features and providing support to clients during the project execution. The company is a world leader in data, and business intelligence, and delivers strategies for significant industry sectors that power the world's economies. They have established a client base of over 50K customers in 145+ countries and successfully raised $200mn+ in funding. This is an excellent opportunity for developers to join a well-established company and rise quickly through the ranks. It requires a time overlap with the Indian/American/European time zones.  


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team member to understand and implement use cases based on the specifications provided by the business/team lead
  • Ownership of maintenance and support issues as they arise during the project's life cycle
  • Provide technical assistance to other teams - support, QA, and business analysis
  • Evaluate, apply, and adopt new technologies and tools within the development team and across the organization to improve productivity, efficiency, and scalability
  • Collaborate and share technical and business knowledge with members of the development and wider organization
  • Promote continuous improvement within the development and throughout the organization
  • Be dedicated to delivering high-quality software, identifying priorities, and dependencies, and overcoming obstacles with minimal guidance


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 8+ years of experience working on Java platforms/applications & API frameworks is required
  • 6+ years of experience in JAVA 7 (or above) /J2EE for product development is a must
  • Experience in RDBMS and proficiency in PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of Spring/Restful API is a must
  • Knowledge of architectural principles is required
  • Must have expertise with web technologies and JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Good knowledge of Oracle database is required
  • Ability to collaborate with a remote team in a geographically distributed development model
  • Understanding the business problems, requirements, design, and architecture of the application
  • Able to manage dependencies and timely manage the priorityHands-on experience in cloud infrastructure-based products is nice to have
  • Basic understanding of financial markets is nice to have
  • Conceptual/Working knowledge of AWS is nice to have
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodology is desirable
  • Proficiency in working with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments is a plus
  • Demonstrable expertise with build tools like Maven/Ant & Version Control systems like GIT/GitLab is nice to have
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is desirable
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision
  • Open-minded, flexible, and willing to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize work, are required
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
