Job description

A rapidly-growing company providing an in-depth view into the workforces of businesses around the world is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will help determine the appropriate data architecture and implement relevant technical solutions. The US-based company is offering its services to a wide range of customers, including investors, corporate strategists, HR teams, and governments. It has so far raised $3.8 mn+ during the Seed round of funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle challenges related to data transformation and extraction, process automation, and database maintenance
  • Ability to create an impact by owning the database of major projects
  • Lead the team efforts to orchestrate and deliver data engineering solutions
  • Take ownership of the entire data life from ingestion to processing and ETL to delivery 
  • Work with a team of Ph.D. data scientists with advanced domain expertise

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Extensive experience in Python, Bash, SQL, Database Systems & Architecture
  • Solid understanding of engineering best Practices in organizing data to support large-scale analytics application
  • Comprehensive knowledge of web frameworks (e.g. Flask) is a plus
  • Good organizational skills 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
