Job description

A US-based company that is revolutionizing the future of clinical research is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for researching and recommending technology options that meet the company’s functional goals. The company believes that speeding up the development of new medications will significantly influence human health. During their Seed round, the company has raised more than $3.5mn in funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build database and data pipeline/ETL utilizing the technologies and tools
  • Lead a team of developers to build operationally efficient analytic solutions
  • Define necessary standards and adopt methodologies for the Data Warehousing environment
  • Develop easy to scale data pipelines using the latest technologies like AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka for sourcing data
  • Transform complex business requirements to scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing design standards
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL applications to improve advertising, content, and finance/accounting operations
  • Help to decipher data migration issues and improvise system performance
  • Wek closely with product management, technical program management, operations, and other engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer
  • Must possess expertise in working with SQL
  • Strong understanding of technologies like Celery is required
  • Experience in working on REST APIs is essential
  • Expertise in working with languages like Python is required
