Job description

A leading software company that delivers custom and off-the-shelf solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech industries is looking for a Data/DevOps Engineer. The engineer will assist with the data migration needs and contribute to transferring legacy systems and data to a new database schema. The company offers professional services and solutions that include a range of proprietary software while working with organizations to quickly define, develop and deliver software solutions that provide a competitive advantage. The selected candidate will work actively on tasks related to chemical structures and ancillary scientific data, hence should have an interest in such aspects. This will be a full-time position with the possibility of a long-term engagement. It requires a time overlap with the Pacific time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in data clean up and potential data manipulation
  • Document, reproduce, and script data migrations and transformations
  • Perform test executions, create required configurations, test planning, defect tracking, and issue resolution
  • Follow compliance requirements and engineering best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience 
  • Great interest in working/learning about scientific and chemical data 
  • Knowledge of data pipelining technologies (Knime)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and PLSQL is highly advantageous
  • Possess foundational skills and be eager to learn
  • An understanding of React, C#, and .NET will be beneficial
