Job description

A well-established company based in the U.S. that has recently made headlines for its next-generation Artificial Intelligence solutions is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer. The selected candidate will be working on developing models, algorithms, and software solutions to accurately estimate the quantity of cladding materials based on architectural drawings. The company’s cutting-edge tools are helping humanity to accelerate into a new era of efficiency by relying on advanced technologies. The company has successfully managed to secure $11bn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • In charge of  implementing machine learning models
  • Work on classifying cladding materials from elevation views and floor plan views
  • Train and optimize convolutional neural networks (CNNs)
  • Preprocess and augment architectural drawings to prepare them for model training and evaluation
  • Collaborate with annotation services to ensure accurate labeling of drawing sets if needed
  • Explore and incorporate 3D modeling and geometry processing techniques
  • Integrate developed models into a user-friendly software solution
  • Collaborate with architects, cost estimators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Test and evaluate the performance of the developed models, analyze results, and fine-tune algorithms as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and cost estimation techniques to continuously improve the solution

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision is a must-have
  • Solid understanding of cost estimation principles and quantity calculation methods
  • Experience with image segmentation, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and object classification
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of image processing techniques and libraries like OpenCV
  • Experience with data preprocessing, augmentation, and annotation
  • Understanding of 3D modeling and geometry processing concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to varying levels of detail in architectural drawings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results
  • Basic understanding of cost estimation software or construction cost databases is preferred
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and version control systems would be a plus
  • Basic familiarity with web development frameworks such as Flask or Django for software integration and deployment
