Job description

The engineer will work with a team of experienced developers and business resources to build and maintain internal and external facing applications. Job Responsibilities:

  • Design applications according to end-user needs in line with the discussions with the Scrum team
  • Track projects, tasks, and bugs using the specified work-tracking system
  • Understand requirements from a business perspective and contribute to designing clear, easy-to-use applications from a user perspective
  • Create completely new applications or build upon the functionality of existing ones
  • Work closely with team members to come up with the best possible solutions for applications
  • Deploy and develop the technology solutions to improve functionality, user-friendliness, and products presentation
  • Take part in independent research and contributed to technical discussions
  • Understand and contribute toward the level of code quality and test coverage within the SCRUM team
  • Engage in technical discussions contributing to design and development
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and/or internal/external customers to ensure requirements are understood
  • Contribute toward the practice of BDD/TDD/DDD as part of the software engineer best practice
  • Participate in regular peer code reviews with colleagues to identify bugs and performance problems, ensuring code and product quality
  • Ensure compliance of the final product with end-user specifications 
  • Participate in regular reviews with designated end-user groups where applicable
  • Ensure to test the functionality of your own and colleagues’ code for performance 
  • Monitor, analyze, and act on post-deployment bugs
  • Review users' feedback and propose/implement action plans for development based on the discussions
  • Provide any required support to end-users of the applications and effect changes to code as required
  • Contribute to the training of team members on agile development practices
  • Utilize appropriate design patterns and SOLID/design principles in daily work
  • Contribute to the technical ownership of projects/tasks ensuring their successful completion to project deadlines
  • Write concise documentation for applications and websites
  • Show initiative to use new technologies and methodologies that will benefit projects 
  • Take ownership and volunteer to collaborate with the delivery team 
  • Mentor and guide junior team members
  • Enhance your skills regularly on the new and latest technology trends and practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant development experience or exposure using Microsoft .NET technologies
  • Expertise in building Micro Service Architecture, Web and/or console applications, as well as Windows and Web Services
  • Experience in .NET Core, WebAPI Net Framework 4.6., Asp.Net Core, and Angular
  • Understanding SQL Server or Azure SQL and/or NoSQL
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD), QA Automation, etc. 
  • Familiarity with the release process, Cloud development, and health monitoring
  • Conversant with feature toggle-based development
  • Prolific skills in tools like Postman, Insomnia, MSTest/NUnit, Protractor, Jasmine, JMeter, and OWASP ZAP
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as Azure and Google Cloud
  • Expertise in OOP programming (theoretical and practical experience of OO design principles and patterns)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and BDD (Behaviour Driven Development)
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD), Domain Driven Design (DDD), and Event-Driven Architecture
  • Understanding API Gateways and Service Discovery
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio programming environments and Azure DevOps
  • Good oral and written English communication skills; strong communication with both technical and business teams
  • Good administrative and organizational skills
  • Self-motivation and drive to take on personal responsibility
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality with critical reasoning and decision-making skills
