Job description

A well-established company building innovative technologies that aims to cater to millions of SMEs and merchants is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate must possess strong technical grounding, a diverse set of technical skills, self-management, and leadership qualities. The company aims to influence the way they do business by using technology to create a seamless B2B e-commerce platform. The company has managed to securely raise $1.3 bn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, build and deploy reliable, scalable technology products 
  • Improve and maintain software that caters to creation of the digital products
  • Drive software development best practices in your team 
  • Assist in architecting the technical roadmap of the team in collaboration with software and product engineers
  • Collaborate effectively with product engineers toward building the right features
  • Estimate and manage deliveries of features within stringent deadlines
  • Contribute in building process improvements in predictability of releases in the specific problem areas
  • Identify patterns in problem statements and mitigate them to build capabilities, libraries, utilities that promote re-use
  • Collaborate, mentor, and guide team members as and when required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Working knowledge of Object-oriented design and ability to apply design patterns
  • Extensive experience in Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin
  • Thorough understanding of IP networking fundamentals 
  • Demonstrable expertise in database management, observability, and monitoring
  • Solid understanding of industry best practices in network operations 
  • Nice to have experience with Kotlin 
  • Solid understanding of streaming technologies is a must
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
