Job description

A US-based company building a streamlined credit collaboration platform that helps to align all deal stakeholders is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing clear and concise documentation throughout the entire product development process. The company is operating a SAAS platform that will permit equipment dealers to provide consumers with quick finance and commercial equipment lending services. This is a great opportunity for developers who enjoy working with global teams across time zones in a fast-paced, complex technical environment.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design innovative solutions and develop user-friendly applications
  • Design, develop and improve internally and externally facing software products with little guidance 
  • Work closely with product and design team to develop requirements into working applications 
  • Participate in virtual standups, communicate with the team, and deliver technology solutions that meet the project requirements 
  • Iterate quickly to upgrade the application, integrated system, toolset, and the development environment
  • Understand integration points with other systems, evaluate and minimize ripple effects
  • Lead, evaluate and mentor software development solutions provided by vendors and the offshore team
  • Conduct code and design reviews regularly to ensure delivery of high-quality software products
  • Interpret design mock-ups, wireframes, and data flows into POCs
  • Design component documentation and create targeted presentations to relevant stakeholders
  • Perform hands-on coding, unit and automated testing, integration
  • Fix bugs and maintain processes
  • Work closely with the QA team to develop and implement ideas 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in NodeJS 
  • Nice to have experience with ReactJs 
  • Demonstrable experience with both relational (SQL) databases and distributed NoSQL data stores
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus, preferably AWS Lambda
  • Solid understanding of data design and systems integration
  • Prior experience developing web applications using Javascript, Node.js, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with the software development life cycle and the ability to use management tools like Jira
  • Code and release management experience using Git is preferred 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming foundations, data structures, and algorithms
  • Demonstrable experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments is required 
  • Experience with React Ant Design, REST, Microservice Architecture
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Proven track record of defining and documenting software interfaces 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred 
  • Stay ahead on industry best practices, share learnings, experiment, and apply cutting edge technologies to leverage it to improve features 
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking ability 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
