Job description

A US-based company in the banking industry helping businesses build great organizations and maximize their value is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be working with a dedicated, cross-functional Agile team to develop and implement web-based products. During mergers and acquisitions or lending agency services, the company's powerful platform provides businesses with new solutions that work together or independently to avoid unnecessary stages, risks, and hassles. The company secured more than $5mn in funding during their Series A round. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and contribute to new ideas in a diverse, fast-paced environment
  • Participate in solution design sessions driven by a collaborative team
  • Coordinate with teammates to ensure that all acceptance criteria are clear and concise
  • Implement excellently rated and well-tested solutions 
  • By hiring and engaging in the interview process, you may help engineering teams flourish
  • Be a problem-solver who is interested and insightful.
  • Keep up with the latest software engineering practices and technology
  • Keep information discreet to protect the company’s confidential information

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience writing high quality and robust software solutions
  • Experience with unit testing and participating design solutions
  • Prior experience building successful customer-facing software applications 
  • Experience with professional software engineering practices for the full software development 
  •  Extensive experience with version control systems and ​REST-based web services
  • ​Experience in server-side software and web-based application development
  • Good understanding of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing
  • Basic SQL experience using relational databases
  • Knowledge of API/Database testing and working in an agile environment is desirable
  • Nice to have some strong documentation habits
  • Experience deploying or working with Cloud Hosting providers is desirable
  • Knowledge of container technologies is nice to have
  • Ability to responsibly refactor code
  • Nice to have some experience with JavaScript, NoSQL, PHP, Python, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Docker
  • Familiarity with Node, Express, Laravel, Kubernetes, and AWS is nice to have
