Job description

A US-based company that is engineering remarkable innovations to make transportation more efficient, safer, and better for the environment is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will work as part of the team in a high-communication environment and have a crucial role in the platform's maturation to perform at an even larger scale. The company's products and services are designed to increase commercial fleets' fuel economy and road safety while lowering costs and minimizing driver downtime. During their Series C round, the company managed to raise $65 mn+ in funding. This is a unique opportunity for mid-career software engineers to work with a leading company and spearhead innovation.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other parts of the larger engineering team to bring new diverse feature sets to market
  • Work in a dynamic environment with the existing team on products and care about the end-users
  • Write clean, efficient, robust, and reusable code
  • Carry out platform integrations and look for opportunities to improve the services
  • Curate and execute end-to-end web architecture 
  • Fix coding related issues and push regular updates 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with and maintaining scalable systems
  • At least 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining automated testing at the unit and system level
  • Sound proficiency in deploying and maintaining infrastructure on the cloud (AWS certifications are a plus)
  • Knowledge and experience with one statically typed language and one dynamically typed language 
  • Prior experience with infrastructure as code is desirable
  • A background in mathematics and statistics is nice to have
  • Demonstrable experience working in remote, highly collaborative environments
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills
