Job description

A leading subscription services platform offering technology-enabled, independent-living solutions for the elderly to help counter social isolation, is looking for a Software Engineer. The developer will be in charge of producing high-quality results by leading or contributing heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business. The platform uses existing technology to make it easier for the elderly to stay in touch with friends and family with just a touch of a button. The company has managed to raise funding worth $19mn+ so far. This is a full-time role that will require an overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Build scalable, efficient, and well-documented stacks
Work collaboratively with the other engineers
Bring new ideas to the table and help enhance the engineering and analytics processes
Design and develop new application features

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Extensive experience working with Django/Python, JavaScript/HTML/CSS
Nice to have some knowledge of Backbone.js, Vue.js, Cordova, and related technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Fluent in both written and spoken English
