Job description

A U.S.-based company that is leading the way in AI research and solutions that redefine safety, is looking for a Software Engineer. In the event that the search queries are a component of a larger project, the engineer will have to take responsibility for ensuring that the work blends in seamlessly with the other aspects. The company's goal is to make large-scale, dependable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems safer by developing trustworthy systems and doing research on the possible advantages and risks of AI. Thus far, the company has raised about $3.1 billion in capital.

Job Responsibilities:

To quickly navigate the codebase and evaluate the efficiency, structure, and usefulness of the code by demonstrating a deep comprehension of Go/Scala/Rust and Python
Have a solid understanding of search techniques and tactics to search the codebase for specific variables, functions, or classes, identify unnecessary or inefficient code, etc.
As you examine the source, take care of troubleshooting, debugging, and formulating fixes for any issues or mistakes that you find
Create trustworthy and effective response prompts by programming scripts or algorithms to react to specific questions or inputs from users automatically
The codebase needs to be updated and maintained, which involves frequent software upgrades, reworking code to optimize it, and ongoing code reviews, to ensure its efficacy and performance
Keep a more thorough record of the query results and actions for future use
Regularly report collaborative outcomes to the project manager or team lead
Follow the most recent features and releases to find out how the team is optimizing and streamlining their work throughout the codebase
Verify the finished product functions as planned

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Prolific experience working with Python, Scala/Go/Rust
Great collaboration and time management skills
Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written
