Job description

A U.S.-based company that is utilizing AI to automate payments and accounts payable for significant real estate investment corporations, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be working closely with the company's product team to comprehend customer requirements and how implementation is impacted by the requirements. The company's goal is to provide technologies that replace repetitive, labor-intensive operations with automated, intelligent solutions, enabling real estate organizations to make compelling gains. The company has managed to secure $2.5mn+ in funding so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product team to make sure we're giving the end users high-value features
  • Utilize Agile methodology to prepare and share plans before writing code, test-driven development
  • Work with a delivery-oriented attitude to decrease waste and bugs
  • Establish procedures to help the team operate more efficiently and remain focused, but avoid over-engineering procedures that stifle creativity and adaptability
  • Write tests in addition to features
  • Contribute directly to the UI and API layer of the company's platform
  • Directly contribute to the internal tooling that other AP platform engineers utilize
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to help support the applications that are created
  • Join a cross-functional team and help shape the UI, CLI, and back-end services for cloud solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Python, Celery, and FastAPI
  • Demonstrable experience with JavaScript and React
  • Nice to have a strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes
  • Ability to move fluidly between front and back-end work
  • Some experience in data engineering, machine learning, and deep learning is desirable
  • Prior startup experience is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of converting raw data into usable data systems
  • Knowledge of design and performance tradeoffs in complex systems and the ability to discuss them
  • Ability to construct an implementation plan after receiving specific business needs in detail
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
