Job description

A fast-growing company that is developing innovative youth esports solutions with the goal of supporting the upcoming generation of gamers to enhance their gaming skills, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing, designing, and maintaining excellent platform solutions. The company’s advanced solution is enabling the coming generations to make a lucrative career in professional gaming by polishing their skills. During their Seed round, the company managed to successfully accumulate $2.2mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with other engineers, designers, and product managers to comprehend software requirements and convert them into effective code
  • Help to develop new products while communicating with other senior engineers directly
  • Take part in peer reviews to make sure implementations adhere to the standards and the aims
  • Ensure that there is clear and effective communication of the status, obstacles, and knowledge gaps
  • In an early stage environment, develop solutions/web apps from the ground up while collaborating closely with other senior developers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer
  • Prior working knowledge of the requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment phases of the software lifecycle
  • Extensive experience in technical collaboration with other engineers and product managers
  • Proficient experience working with Ruby on Rails, Next.js, React, GraphQL, and TypeScript
  • Strong knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
