Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a platform designed to fit the needs of the Medicare advantage value-based care model, is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be working together with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and improve goods with internal teams and vendors. The company offers software solutions for data analytics that make it possible to handle business and healthcare disciplines from a single central platform. This will be a full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to do the coding that needs to be done that is delaying going to market
  • Work with the production and development group 
  • Make better software architecture and design
  • Determine, organize, and carry out the tasks involved in the software development life cycle
  • Create applications and tools by writing clear, effective code
  • Automate tasks with scripting and the right tools
  • Identify software requirements in collaboration with higher management
  • Take the initiative on technical and operational projects
  • Practical knowledge of agile approaches and software development
  • Create top-notch software that is in line with user needs and corporate objectives
  • Upgrade software to improve operational effectiveness
  • Run tests for validation and verification
  • Record development stages and monitoring tools
  • Verify that the software is updated with the latest tech

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in MIS/IT/Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience working with .NET, Java, and Tableau
  • Demonstrable experience working with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and HTML
  • Thorough knowledge of a wide range of systems, including Tableau, SQL Server, and/or other platforms and technologies
  • Experience in design/development and healthcare data analytics environment
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude, creative thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with system analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies
  • Experience with claims, clinical outcomes, clinical quality measures [HEDIS], Case Management, and Utilization Management data.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to interact and collaborate with staff
  • Extensive expertise in project management, scripting, and software development
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and system monitoring technologies
  • Prior healthcare industry experience producing and implementing useful software solutions
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent English communication skills
