Job description

A rapidly-growing company backed by Venture Capitals and developing world-class healthcare solutions is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. The developer will be in charge of enforcing software development standards while mentoring lesser experienced engineers. The company is developing an advanced software solution that will empower behavioral health clinics to provide a better patient experience. This is a nice opportunity for developers to prove their mettle and work in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on the development of new features and fix bugs
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to identify and prevent software issues
  • Perform code reviews and test for new features
  • Maintain and write documentation that describes the company’s services clearly 
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams and assist them with queries related to the workings of the product
  • Perform requirements analysis for new features and identify solutions and design systems by creating flowcharts, layouts, and documentation
  • Write well-designed and testable code
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing features
  • Perform daily stand-ups and attend daily EM AMA sessions
  • Ensure all payment-related jobs are executed properly
  • Ensure background workers are running properly
  • Conduct code reviews regularly and take charge of software design, development, and testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least Nice to have experience in React and AWS
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails
  • Solid understanding of Git
  • Proficient in React Native
  • Familiarity with ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with AWS (ECR, EC2, and ECS) is preferred 
  • Experience working on a HIPAA-compliant product is nice to have 
  • Working experience with full end-to-end integration and unit testing
  • Ability to work on major aspects of product functionality from back-end systems to the user interface (i.e., full-stack)
  • Ability to communicate features to non-technical team members
  • Ability to evaluate different ways of building a given feature 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
