Job description

A US-based company that helps growing data-centric businesses to increase the connectivity between clients worldwide is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building a scalable platform, utilizing software engineering’s best practices. The NASDAQ-listed company’s cutting-edge technology helps digital leaders to scale quickly, create new digital services quickly, interact with customers and partners effortlessly, and provide world-class experiences. They have managed to raise more than $1.2bn in funding so far. This role requires 4+ hours overlap with the CST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the performance of existing REST/Ruby On Rails endpoints for reporting
  • Identify which endpoints are causing issues for customers 
  • Resolve problems encountered on the platform like slow response times, error messages, timeouts, reports issues, etc. 
  • Remediate reporting errors identified, improve Ruby on Rails controller code, and optimize SQL queries

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of experience working as a software developer
  • Must have expertise in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience in RabbitMQ and Kubernetes is nice to have
  • Competency in upgrading rails versions, splitting database model, RabbitMQ for background processing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Must be a team player and willing to help other members
