Job description

A wildly successful U.S.-based company that runs a beloved social media platform that connects users across the globe, is looking to hire a Senior Mobile Engineer. The engineer will craft a modern user experience for seamlessly accessing content and communities on the platform and develop the foundation for features and experiences planned in the future. The company is working on a platform that empowers users with similar likes and interests to create content, tell stories, manage discussions, vote, and comment about the topics they care about most. The company has raised over $1.2 bn in its Series F round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire lifecycle of products including concept, design, test, release, and support
  • Write clean and reusable code to develop fully functional mobile applications
  • Analyze market trends and user-related data to draw specific requirements and suggest solutions
  • Establish test and testing procedures to identify malfunctions
  • Optimize application and platform performance by troubleshooting and debugging

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience developing user-facing mobile native applications at scale, using Android/Kotlin
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • Developers should have worked on scale meaning they should have worked on apps having minimum of million os installs or downloads.
  • Developers should be good in communication and should take the ownership of the projects
