Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that is providing internet data center services for clients, businesses, and organizations, is looking for a Go Software Engineer. The engineer will be working on public projects with the client team to develop, maintain, and support open-source integrations for the products and services offered by the business. The company is using automated, as-a-service infrastructure to boost network performance and improve application performance. The company has managed o secure more than $1.2bn in funding so far. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • As the team switches its emphasis from integration to integration, attend daily team standups and work as a team
  • Develop and retain responsive, high-quality designs and components
  • Recognize, hone in on, and transform business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Utilize tested quality software engineering techniques during all development phases

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 6+ years of experience with Go, Kubernetes, Linux, Python, and networking skills
  • 2-3+ years of experience writing Kubernetes operators
  • Prolific experience working with Go and related providers like Terraform, Metal CLI, Pulumi, and Juju
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes, Go code providers like Cloud Provider, Cluster API Provider, and Crossplane Provider
  • In-depth knowledge of Generated SDKs (OpenAPI, Python, Go, Java) and Ansible Provider (Python code)
  • Familiarity with Slack, Jira, and GitHub
  • Nice to have some experience with opensource Go projects
  • Prior experience working with Terraform projects is desirable
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
