Job description

A rapidly-growing healthtech platform that aims to transform the lives of Cancer patients is looking for a Data Scientist. The selected candidate must have prior experience building environments or working with data-driven statistical models. The platform enables caretakers and patients to keep track and organize their schedules, needs, and support. This is a great opportunity for developers who have prior experience working in the healthcare industry. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and describe the data for internal and external clients
  • Prepare analytic summaries that will be utilized to guide future investments
  • Produce innovative insights from the data, use powerful statistical and AI/ML approaches
  • Create models to boost enrollment and participation
  • Collaborate with information architects, platform architects, data scientists, and product management on solution requirements to design solutions
  • Work with the quantitative teams to figure out what data is needed
  • Participate in the development of solutions that allow for the efficient and reliable extraction of information from all healthcare, device, and behavior data
  • Develop analytical tools to process and generate insights or suggestions from both structured (healthcare data, EHR, PROs, Devices, etc.) and unstructured (notes, Radiology, etc.) data
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and quality assurance of products
  • Make suggestions for process improvements in terms of data gathering, consumption, and storage
  • Resolve high-impact issues/projects by examining complicated business processes, system processes, and organizational standards and procedures in detail
  • Ensure that data management policies and procedures are followed
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with globally located Agile teams
  • Analytical tools will be evaluated, and recommendations made to take advantage of emerging analytical cloud capabilities
  • Assume personnel responsibilities for direct reports (e.g., mentorship, performance evaluations, or hiring)
  • Supervise data science agile teams to ensure that sprint and program increment goals are met
  • Participate in business partner engagement, relationship management, and cross-group planning among technology leaders and peers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist
  • Experience as a Data Scientist that can be demonstrated
  • Extensive experience working with Python
  • Strong statistics and mathematics background 
  • Experience with multiple mission-critical applications on big data platform Experience with batch and real-time data pipelines in a DevOps environment 
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent collaborative connections with company stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent written and vocal communication abilities in English
  • Expert in presenting complex issues, persuading others, and executing with timely/actionable follow-up
