Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Identify business issues along with product and service enhancement possibilities
  • Analyze data and make strategic or tactical suggestions
  • Participate in data cleansing, data wrangling, quantitative analysis, and data mining

  • Identify issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address them
  • Keep abreast with the latest industry trends and opportunities
  • Assist in influencing, supporting, and executing product decisions and product launches
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and set product team goals, design and evaluate experiments
  • Oversee important product KPIs and evaluate what causes any changes in the KPIs
  • Evaluate and create reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards
  • Build user behavior models for analysis and to drive manufacturing systems

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics, (or equivalent field)
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist (rare exceptions for exceptionally skilled professionals)
  • Excellent fluency in data mining, data models, segmentation techniques, and database design development
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics, (or equivalent field)
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist (rare exceptions for exceptionally skilled professionals)
  • Excellent fluency in data mining, data models, segmentation techniques, and database design development
  • Capability of preparing the structure, analyzing, and extracting data as per business requirements
  • Proficient with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), statistical and mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB)
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
  • Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of A/B testing in an industry setting
  • Expertise in preparing reports, inquiries, and presentations
