Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze large sets of data using statistical techniques and provide reports
  • Identify opportunities for growth by analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets with the help of statistical tools
  • Build databases and implement data collection systems

  • Maintain flexible and scalable data evaluation processes
  • Identify and fix coding errors, corrupted data, and other data-related problems.
  • Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership to help them make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify prospects for process improvements, system modifications, and set policies for data governance
  • Creating detailed and appropriate documentation for future reference

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working as a data analyst (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Extensive experience in working with data mining, data models, segmentation techniques, and database design development

  • Stronghold over statistical skills to aptly collect, measure, organize and analyze data
  • Proficiency with various programming languages and tools like - SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, XML, ETL, among others
  • Working experience with platforms such as Hadoop and Apache Spark
  • Strong understanding of data visualization tools like, Tableau and PowerBI
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

  • Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiar with ML algorithms, algorithmic foundations of optimization, and data mining
  • Adept at explaining technical topics to technical/non-technical stakeholders
