Job description

Job responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data processing systems
Design and deploy analytics solutions to meet client requirements
Write effective, clean, and scalable R code for advanced data analysis, data manipulation, and data modeling
Identify and troubleshoot programming bottlenecks and ensure smooth performance of the systems
Analyze, visualize and share data insights with business owners to assist in making informed decisions
Create and conduct unit testing as well as performance and integration testing
Develop new data models and refactor existing codebases using R language
Create, implement, and integrate APIs
Implement coding standards, best practices, and advanced guidelines to ensure efficient R programming
Create and maintain documentation and specifications for R interfaces

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of professional experience in R programming (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Excellent expertise in R programming language
Prior working experience with descriptive analytics, predictive analysis, and statistics
Excellent grasp over AI/ML algorithms and statistical computing
Solid understanding of database technologies such as SQL
Extensive experience working with RUnit for testing and REST APIs
Hands-on experience in major scripting languages, like Python, Perl, etc.
Well-versed with business analysis, system design, and business process re-engineering
Fluent in English for effective communication
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Ability to use version control tools, such as Git, SVN, etc.
Familiar with configuration management tools, like Ansible or Puppet
Previous working experience with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of Agile development and delivery methodologies
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
