Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in project management discussions and plan out projects
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of software services
  • Assist in developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering excellence

  • Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
  • Take care of software security and ensure systems are protected against cybersecurity threats
  • Identify technical problems, develop software updates, and assist in troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with software developers/engineers to ensure the SDLC follows established processes and best practices

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled engineers)
  • Proficient with multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, Ruby, Golang, C#, etc.

  • Working experience with database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Well-versed with various tools, including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
  • Proficiency in using Git and Git workflows
  • Experience in developing large-scale or enterprise-level engineering applications
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Familiar with cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with automation, continuous testing, and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of software security best practices
