Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project managers and technical leads to understand project requirements and plan project roadmap
  • Assist cross-functional engineering teams in building functional and scalable software solutions
  • Contribute to building back-end components for the existing systems to improve responsiveness, functionality, and performance
  • Participate in writing clean, scalable, testable, and efficient code
  • Perform code reviews and optimization
  • Communicate with the front-end team to ensure seamless integration of the user-facing components into the server-side logic
  • Maintain close communication with internal teams and stakeholders to implement security and data protection solutions

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of Python programming experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
  • Hands-on experience in Python programming language
  • Proficient working with Django or similar Python frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
  • Solid understanding of general programming best practices and latest technologies
  • Experience with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, SVN, etc.
  • Well-versed in testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and test-driven development
  • Fluency in the English language for effective communication with international teams
  • Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Good understanding of AI/ML algorithms
  • Strong database skills, including schemas and ORMs
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP and Big Data technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
